I've had a couple of down days this last week - just feeling really low and a bit spaced out. I have no idea why, just part of the roller coaster ride I suppose, but I'm delighted that I'm feeling more like myself today.

Today is the 12 hour shift and I brought some home made chilli and couscous in with me instead of heading out for my usual subway. I've also had a pack of 1.5 point crisps but I'm gettting a bit hungry now, with 4 and a half hours to go before I eat properly...I still have a couple of slices of bread to toast but I'm trying to hang off that until a bit later on...hope I can make the distance!

We are going away for a few days this week so I have to go to be weighed on monday night instead of Tues morning......night vs morning is not going to help a good result but we'll see how we go! I have no idea how I'm going to cope with being away for a few days......I know what I SHOULD do but I'm not convinced I'll manage to steer clear of the temptation!!! I'll do my best - lol

Sounds like you're doing great there... so keep up the great work with taking food into work. I so find that helps too and stops you just eating everything!! Have you tried some of the little packets of snack-a-jacks... I quite like the caramel ones, but you can get popcorn too and they are only 1.5pts... so great if you get the munchies! Good luck with your weigh-in tomorrow night and hope that you have a nice time away. Plan of action for going away... keep writing everything down that you eat to keep yourself accountable, says moi who went completely off the rails before Christmas when I was away with work for a couple of days!! I came home and THEN wrote everything down and was horrified that I'd eaten 42 points in one day! I'm sure you won't do that though... so just have fun and enjoy yourself. :o)

Good job with all of your planning ahead for work and all. Don't fret about the evening weigh-in. If by chance it turns out to be more than last week, just look forward to the next week when it will all work itself out again and show your true progress! Moonlite had a good idea to journal your food when you are away. Most restaurants have healthy choices on their menus and even if they don't, they can usually accommodate your requests for "no oil" or "no sauce", etc. Steamed veggies, salads with a vinaigrette on the side, broiled fish, chicken breast...these are all good choices you can find in most establishments. If you are eating in someone's home and there really isn't anything healthier to choose, just try to limit your portions. Most of all, don't let the food focus take away from your enjoyment of the rest of your trip! Best of luck and have fun!

I think you'll do pretty well while you're away...you're ALREADY thinking about it...I like Moonlite suggestion on writing all of it down even when you're away...it DOES help! Safe travels to you! Hugs!
