Though I loved the amount of information possible when tracking my food on here, I've found that the ease and simplicity of changing my mind in my Palm Pilot program (WW Calc) have already made a big effect on how well I stay in my point limit. Previously, I was always a little over, because I'd eat, then I'd record. Now, I record, futz around with my decisions, and make sure I'm under points... THEN I eat.
It's also much easier to keep the same name and change the points. The best example is the bread we eat. We buy whatever is on sale (and that's not just "white" bread). I can mark in my program "Bread (1sl)" and put in the nutritional info for this brand, then tomorrow I can recall "Bread (1sl)" and modify it for the new nutritional info (or leave it the same if it's the same loaf). This change is not retroactive, so I don't screw with my old points when I do this.
It's possible others are doing something similar here (deciding what to eat using the info on here as a help before eating), but I just found the process so lengthy that I never bothered. Anyway, this is just here to say, I'm actually following WW better than I was when I was tracking on here (though no one else can see it). Hopefully I'll see the difference in my body soon. :) And maybe, just maybe, if I get enough time I'll go back and input the day's food AFTER the day is over for accountability and long-term tracking. But for the moment, I'm glad to have made my switch.
