I've been very lacksadasical in approaching my weight loss so far. It's just that there's so much going on in my life outside of my food intake and exercise habits that I just don't have the emotional energy to invest much of it in this process at the moment. Despite this fact, so far I've been moderately successful in maintaining a downward progression.

I'm trying to get the other pressing areas of my life into slightly better control so I can have the energy to focus more on this one. Until then, I'll have to be satisfied with the results I'm getting with my current approach (which have not been as bad as I expected).

At the moment, my focus is on getting my work schedule into better control (I work from home while also being the primary caretaker for my four year old son) and trying to help make the family's budget work (we live below the poverty line). As important as a healthy weight is to me, these MUST take a higher priority, because their effects are immediate whereas I can keep dealing with the weight issue for a while, if I must.
