Oh why is my pencil so heavy?


Needless to say I worked out last night. The session with James was all arms. Most was done one the TRX. It still amazes me how you can make an exercise so much more efficient/harder by a slight change of posture or how you hold a weight. But that where James comes in. He just knows his stuff & I get the full benefit from it. My knee hurt yesterday, so I told him to take it easy on my legs. Instead he put my on a foam roller & massaged my thigh & my knee was as good as new!!!

After 1/2 hour break( half a protein bar & a banana perked me up again), I did a kettlebell class with him. I used my brandnew 12kg bell for most of it. Glad that it was actually 'only' 2 18 minute sets. At the end I thought my arms were ready to just drop of ;).

Still figuring out my 'new' eating regime. Snacks are much more under control, alcohol is in check & overall my calories are down & of more quality. So hopefully I can shake things up a bit. If not, i come up with plan B. I have been considering different diets but I know from experience that I don't diet. I have to do something that I can sustain in the long run.

For some reason I did not sleep well last night. Lots of things on my mind & even my mantra: nights are for sleeping, days are for everything else didn't work. But then again, I don't feel tired !
Am I doing something right?

LB just dropped Oak of for his x-ray. Poor puppy cried when he left. I'll make sure I spoil him even more with cuddles & playing when he comes home!

I've got to try out the foam roller some time... my daughter swears by it but I've not used it yet. I always get sore and tight quads after my squats and leg presses so I'm sure it would help. Great job with your work outs. I am not one to hold to a diet regime much anymore, either. I have been trying over the past year or so to evolve some sort of plan that just naturally fits into my life. Some successes and some failures... I suppose it takes time to tweak a lifetime of bad habits and misinformation into something workable. I hope Oak is alright after his vet visit. Sorry if I missed something, but what is having an x-ray for?
