Happy Thursday
I had a really lovely day yesterday :).
I was woken very gently, even if it was a tat early with a cup of warm lemon, then I had facebook messages & text messages from my daughter & then I got to open my presents in bed :). LB gave me the most lovely glasses with a picture of my old dog Clyde ingraved on them. It brought tears to my eyes. I still miss him so much. I guess you never forget your first dog :). They are really a work of art. Some people are sooooo talented. I will try to take a picture of them & upload it at some stage.
Midmorning we went to the gym, but not for a workout (2 things I don't do on my birthday: work & workout), but for a full body massage. Bliss!! There was another talented person: one of the best massages I had in a long time :) She really loosend my tight muscles & completly relaxed me, as a bonus I got lovely soft skin now. I think she used frangipangi oil.
Afterwards we drow to a little village & had lunch in the pub, followed by a long walk through the Avon Valley. Its so beautiful around here ( more pictures to follow :) )
Got back about 4pm, had a green tea & some banana cake that I defrosted quickly, then we took the dogs to FIGSBURY ring. Another historic place so close by, but I hadn't had a chance to see it up until now.
Oak has fully recovered from his x-ray & anathetic, but has to be kept on the lead for at least 3 weeks. The vet seems to think he got a tear in his shoulder muscle & it will take a long time to heal. At least we know there is nothing wrong with his bones & ligaments. Trying to restrain this energetic bundle will be difficult, as he was born to run :). I wish I had his energy just for a day!!!
In the evening we went out for dinner to a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere. I even had a glass of my favourite wine (chablis).
Come 10pm I was ready for my bed. It was such a relaxed day, I can't wait to go on holiday in May & then I have a whole week of it :)
So this morning I expected an increase! To my surprise it was the usual steady. With all that food, drink, no exercise & Mr.C (thank you Evelyn ;) ) hanging around, I am baffelt. Maybe my scale can only show one number these days??? Never mind.
I normally do my wavetraining on a thursday, but I still ache from Monday with James. & my right forearm is still swollen. Tuesday afternoon I was out in my front garden to get rid of some weeds. The sun was out, it felt like spring. I took my jacket of & even rolled my sleeves. Big mistake. Although I didn't notice it, something stung me :( my lower arm is nearly double the size, its had & the skin is tight. I hate allergic reactions! The antihistameans seem slow to work this time. So I will just go on the elliptical for 1/2 hour & then go for a swim, followed by sitting in the sauna. I am sure it will do me good.
