Birthday Cake


Oh why did I buy cakes for the boys???? (carrot, double coffee & walnut, lemon sponge, orange drizzle & coconut maccaroons)(our village shop is selling an excellent selection). I already had my second breakfast when I remembered to get it out. & then I could not resist and had a slice of the double coffee & 1 maccaroon!!!! I felt sick afterwards :(
At least I didn't eat my lunch at 1pm just because it was time to eat. I had my salad at 3pm & left the smoked trout in the fridge for another day.
At the gym I managed 30mins on the 'new' elliptical, 20mins of cycling & only 20 measly length in the pool. My triceps were screaming doing a backcrawl, so I gave up. The kiddies in the next lane were so much better than me anyway.
Chatted to my mum: she is going in for a catarac operation next month & she needs to be picked up afterwards. I was close to book myself on a flight when I gave my sister a call. She is 'only' an hour down the road & not in a different country. Why my mum didn't tell my sis???
Mum was on the verge of telling me off.... but she is actually quiet happy I did. Weird!!!
Had a nice dinner of mashed potatoes, broccoli & smoked mackarel. I felt full & satisfied, but 1 1/2 hours later the munchies began. Only a few bits & pieces here & there, but why did I feel the need???
Hey hoh, I blame it on the cake ;)
Another steady of 67.5kg, as usual. I did put my scale to the test & weight my kettlebells & me holding the bells. Damm it does know different numbers. I am just too good at maintaining!!!

The sun is shinning although it is still a bit chilly. But for once I might not get wet on my usual run. I keep on meaning to extent my route by a few km every week, but I chicken out of it. Maybe today. For some reason my sportstracker on my new phone doesn't seem to work properly, is it dew to the battery saving mode?

Anyways, I am glad the weekend is nearly here.

I try to keep cakes and the like out of the house because they are so hard to resist when in easy reach. I don't know why they have such a powerful lure - the word "addiction" seems harsh but I suppose that is what it is, really. I hope the weather is nice for your run. I know nothing of apps on smartphones so I can't help you with your sportstracker problem. Ask a teenager - they're the experts at that sort of thing!

Cakes are evil. I can't stay out of them if they are in our house either. Hope you enjoy your run and get your extra km's in. :)
