Yeah its Friday :)


Two weeks today we are of to sunny Dorset!!!!

Yesterday panned out completely different. I had my weights planned, but as my left hand is in a bit of a state after the kettlebell session on wednesday, they were definately of the menu!! I used my 12kg bell for most of the class & I ended up with blisters under my callouses & one of them burst :(. OUCH!
LOL....we compared hands at work yesterday morning & my hands look 'harder' than any of the guys. One of them has the softest hands I have ever seen on a man.
So instead I went over to my place, finished of 1 of my flowerbeds in the back garden, took a carload of weeds to the dump & went back to LBs place. He had topsoil delivered & now the raised beds are ready for planting :). We took the dogs for a long walk & planted the first lot of runner beans. The other things have to wait til its a bit warmer.
& then I had TOM coming for a surprise visit, only 5 days early but at least it explained why I was soooo hungry all day long. Well not really hungry....I just found myself looking for tasty titbits. I managed to follow Evelyns 1st & 2nd rule yesterday but failed miserable on the last 2. But I am aware & I got to start somewhere :)
We went & did our weekly shopping instead of tonight( hehe now we can go to the Pub tonight). So no exercise at all for me yesterday. I think I did need a rest day!
I got my gym bag with me. So its either some cardio in the gym or I go for my usual run this afternoon, as the hand is still a bit tender.

Tomorrow we go to Twickenham to the Army vs Navy rugby game. Lots of guys from work will go & we usually meet people there we haven't seen in years. Should be good fun! Sunday is still free, it all depends a bit on the weather what we will end up doing.

Sorry to hear about your hand. Even with wearing weight lifting gloves, I still find I get a few callouses. Do you wear gloves when you work out? I've even seen kettlebell training gloves - they're much the same as a weight lifting glove but also have a guard to protect your wrist. Don't be discouraged that you weren't able to follow all of The Golden Rules. It can take a few tries before you get the hang of it and you need to be constantly vigilant to keep them in the forefront of your mind. I hope you find them as helpful as I have :) Enjoy your weekend activities!
