Ran my first 5K, what a trip (not literally). 36:53. I wanted to break 40 minutes. It was great, I'm instantly a fan of races. I got emotional when I saw the finish line. It was a culmination of 11 months of hard work.
You wake up everyday and look in the mirror. Rarely are you reminded of how far you've come, simply because you've adjusted to your new lifestyle. I never dreamed that I would have the seeds to run among a group of strangers. No Way, They'd see all of my rolls jiggling up and down, how embarrassing.
Then...there I was. Blending in... Actually passing people that are bigger than I am... What a Gas, what an absolute gas.
