Hi, all. I'm new to the community. Six years ago, I successfully lost 209 lbs. Since then, it has been an ongoing struggle to maintain that loss, using both diet and exercise. Two years ago, I decided it was time to have some of my excess skin removed. Three procedures were planned, to be done six months apart. Things didn't go quite as planned, and I ended up having 13 surgeries over about 20 months. Although my weight didn't change much, my body composition did, due to my inability to exercise during most of this period. In addition, about six weeks after my last surgery, my mother had surgery. I had to move in with her for nine weeks, because she was totally non-ambulatory for the first six weeks, and is still only semi-ambulatory since then. Needless to say, no exercise during this time period, either. So although the amount of weight I need to lose is small, I need to start exercising again, so I can build up more muscle mass. Fun, right? Oh, and I follow a very low carb diet. Even though I'm following it well, I can't seem to get into ketosis. Advice, anyone?
