Blue skies, 75 degrees, nice and breezy, great time to go for a walk. So I did. Only it was more like a 3 mile hike, the last half of which was UP a steep winding road.

Have you ever exercised so hard you threw up? Yeah, gross. But you know what? I made it up that damn hill against a blustery head wind and even ran the last several yards. I may have had to hand off my two 3-lb hand weights to my teenaged son, but I got up that hill! And I might have two blisters on my right heel now (thanks to new running shoes) but I made it up that hill!

And now that it's over, and I'm back inside my air-conditioned home, reclining against a wall of pillows on my bed, I'm really glad I took that walk...and accomplished something that I know would never have been possible 3 months and 33 lbs ago.
