Stuck on a plateau since having covid. Even walking 24k steps, 2 hours of weight training, 160 oz of water, and less than 1k calories did not break it. looking for ideas to get off the plateau.

When you are burning a lot of calories like you doing with physical activity. Your body weight will not budge, only after a very long time. Your body is basically "borrowing from Peter to pay Paul". You need to be eating more calories. Plus you metablolic rate is a response. Your RMR will drop if you eat too low. Plus you will feel fatigued/drained. Eating more will help you to feel better whlie moving more. Work WITH the body, not against it by restricting too much. Good luck!! You got this! Way to keep up activity!!

Not sure what diet plan your following but try carb cycling. Up your protein(white or lean meats, fish)& green veggies/salads on one day try to keep carbs to a minimum/ the next day add a few carb keeping up with the protein intake/ next day repeat. Make sure after you work out to have some protein as well. During the cycling reduce dairy& fat intake as well. Try it for a week. See if your body switches gears and starts using the stored fat for fuel instead the carbs. Your body will think it’s needs to store fat if it’s stressed as well so make sure you get plenty of sleep as well. Good luck!!! Sounds like your working hard!!!

I would look into fasting starting with 13:14 and cut carbs down to no more than 40gr/day. You're obviously motivated: you got this! It's a journey; don't stress: we did not put on weight overnight and therefore will not dump those pound overnight either...

Your plan is overkill. I agree with those who say to eat more. That is not nearly enough food to balance your activity. Your body is trying to hang on to fat because it thinks you’re starving. Good luck

I would definitely add some more protein with all the weight training you are doing. I aim for 120 grams a day and only weight lift 1 hour 3 times a week. I know it is CICO but I don't think you are even hitting your basic calories needed. Have you looked at some of the TDEE calculators to get an idea of what you want? There are a lot of good ones out there.

I get going low to break a plateau but yeah if you’re very active u gotta up your macros try it for more than a day. Definitely check out the calculators as red suggested.

Have you tried upping your calories to maintenance for a few days then adding in some Intermittent Fasting?

you need to up your calories for a couple days. your body is in famine mode and will fight to keep you from burning calories so you don't starve to death like it thinks you are doing... good luck and be patient. it will work n

For those saying eat more, the problem is I'm not hungry. Since I've been on TRT my appetite has crashed pretty hard. I've added some cheese into the rotation to increase calories and added sesame sticks for more carbs. I really want to avoid added sugars since that is how I reversed my diabetes.

Have you checked in with your doctor since being on TRT. They can make adjustments if necessary and recommendations. I was on HRT and it is hard trying to figure out what needs to be done. If you like smoothies you can add protein, carbs and fats so they are an awesome way to get whatever macros you need. They are excellent after a workout too. There are so many flavors now that you can probably find something that you could drink. I am a big coffee drinker and love a smoothie called Java Jolt. It is hard to find that happy medium that works!
