This is my first journal! Not sure if anyone is ever going to read this, but oh well ;) My name is Alexis. I am a high school student trying to lose weight and get the body I have always dreamed of. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I have never been "skinny". It didn't really hit me that I was over-weight until I was about 8 or 9. I was in 2nd or 3rd grade and I used to weight myself on my grandparents old scale. I remember being 85 pounds and wishing I was 70 pounds like all my other friends because they were models for children's clothing and I wanted to do that too because I thought all models were beautiful. I would read teen magazines and do the excercises in them (which looking back did nothing) and I would complain about my thighs being ugly-which I still do.
I developed an eating disorder when I was 15. It had been building up since I was in the 8th grade. I wouldn't eat breakfast or lunch-just dinner. When I was 15 I started taking laxatives & I still do. I'm desperate to lose weight. I'm almost finished with high school and by next summer, I want to be at the beach with friends in a bikini showing off abs! My goal weight is 115. If you have any tips please feel free to leave them! But keep in mind nothing expensive because I do not live alone and have to buy all these things on my own.
