CAN ANYONE HELP ME....... I havent done anything much in the way of major exercise this week and i have eaten a considerable amount more than usual, i have jumped on the scales this morning and have lost 3 pounds since Monday... I am confused, someone at work has told me that my metabolism has increased so much that i may need some extra calories to lose these last few pounds and that muscle really does weigh heavier than fat!!!! I dont know whether to continue next week working out for an hour a day with fewer calories or i just do exercise every other day and have less calories or increase my calories!! Very confused, any advice will do xxx

From what I have read, many times what we eat and do (workout wise) doesn't always take effect right away. It may not show up on your body for a week or two. So you may be seeing results from all the hard work you have been doing by eating healthy and exercising. Sometimes a spike in eating can increase our metabolisms. I would continue working out and eating as you have been. Also, a pound of fat is equal to a pound of muscle. The difference is that muscle is more dense than fat so volume wise is much smaller. That's why we can see our weight go up, but our sizes go down. Just keep going and see what happens next week. You can always adjust your food and exercise intake.

I think Suzi summed it up well. I wouldn't worry about it Tasty, just keep going as you have been since you are still losing, and see.
