I'm back! Yes, I've gained a pound in the two weeks I've been away, but I still think that's pretty good given that for one of those weeks I was in VEGAS. Man oh man, what a GREAT town! We stayed at the MGM Grand hotel, and what can I say...absolutely incredible. I guess for the purposes of this journal I should talk about food and fitness. Well, I didn't do too badly fitness wise - I was in the pool and walking around all day every day. One day I walked the entire strip: the Sahara to the New York New York. I wanted to go all the way to Mandalay Bay, but decided to do that stretch the next day. As for food...all I can say is WOW. I won't go into detail as that might make you and me hungry, but needless to say it was decadent. I've never eaten like that in my life. So, best vacation EVER.

Last week I was at a work conference, and you don't really have much control over what you eat when you're away in a closed environment like that. The food was (predictably) fatty and kind of crappy (quite a contrast from the weekend before!) so I figured I probably gained back what I lost when I sweat/walked it off in Las Vegas haha.

In other news though, I've kept up with my running and now can run 3.1 miles (with a two minute walk break in the middle). I feel like a million dollars. Now that I'm back on track food-wise, I am confident that the numbers are going to start going down pretty steadily! I hope so anyway!
