Does anyone have an easy way to get the recommended fiber into your diet. Women are recommended to have 25 g of fiber daily. When I get the fiber up to par, it knocks my calorie intake out of the water! Ouch! At that rate I will be gaining weight!

I do bad with getting enough fiber in. I need to do better also, it is hard. Maybe if you have fruit and vegetables with all 3 meals that will help.

I take a fiber supplement. My doc recommended psyllium husk only.

If you want to try the food route, non starchy veggies and fruit with every meal. Quinoa and potatoes in moderation, about 100-150g servings, once or twice daily. There's also some wraps that have 5 or 10g fiber per wrap, and some breads that have 5g per slice.

I do not eat potatoes, quinoa, rice, pasta or bread. I try to avoid sugar of all kinds and do not use any sugar substitutes. I am limited to 1200 calories daily. It is bad enough they sneak sugar or other unrecognizable sweet stuff into everything. Adding fiber has been a huge challenge. When I manage around 20 fiber it generally puts my calorie intake over by 150 or 200! Not an option. I wanted to do this naturally, but I may have to take a supplement. It would certainly make my life easier. Research on fiber supplements begins, I guess. Thanks for the thoughts.

Scandinavian whole grain flatbreads have 4g of fiber with about 35 calories with each cracker. I am hardcore and eat them plain.

Hemp seeds flaxseed and chia seeds. All have decent amounts of fiber. You can sprinkle some over your food. I used to do this when I was doing well losing weight but got out of habit. Good luck with the research and I hope you find something that works for your needs. :)
