I started the Atkin's program on Tuesday the 29th of May (this past week) and have lost almost 4 pounds. I'm sure a lot of it has to be water weight because I'm peeing like crazy! Well, no matter - I'm stickin to it and these extra 30 pounds that I've put on in the past two years are goin away:-) Used the ketone strips today and it shows only a trace of ketones. I did Atkins almost 16 years ago and my sticks used to get real purple. Not sure why they aren't now. I am only taking in 20 mg of carbs a day so maybe I need to cut out more??
