It's so nice having a husband who makes delicious meals! I wish you could taste that tender and juicy pork, the roasted beets and potatoes. Yum! He must like me :-D

We all have our weaknesses. For some, it's always picking that "wrong" person to date, not having control over what or how much one eats, and many other weaknesses. Mine is I can't keep my mouth shut when I see social injustice. Case in point, a woman on FS shared that she had all she could do to not whip her children for getting muddy. Her words. She claimed that she prayed to her god and he helped her. Then, when I called her out on it, it devolved into everyone saying what I said was uncalled for. Fine. You can continue to believe that hitting children is ok, but you will always be wrong. We don't use bloodletting anymore, because it's wrong. We don't allow husbands to spank their wives anymore, because it's wrong. You see my point? You aren't even allowed to strike your pets! Discipline your children. The word means to teach or instruct, not to inflict pain. It shows weakness on your part as a human being to have no other method of handling a situation that to use violence. As much as I'd like to strike another adult who isn't "getting it" it is wrong. Why do you think it is ok to strike a child? Don't be lazy. Find more effective ways to communicate right from wrong to your children. You would never hit a friend's child. Treat your own just as well. I will not apologize for what I said. I will continue to advocate for children until my last breath.

We have an abundance of food here in the U.S.A. So much food that we throw it out, most of our people are overweight or obese, and we have the luxury of being extremely picky about what we put in our mouths. Some deny themselves carbs, calories for days on end, and punish themselves. Meanwhile, many people all over the world die of starvation every day. It isn't right. That is why I donate to my local food bank.
