Don't lose hope. Consistency wins and your trajectory is good. If you are at a plateau, try mixing up your exercise regimen without hurting yourself. Keep carbs below 200 g/day and fat below 100 g/day. The hardest thing is being accurate with quantity, portions are generally larger than we think. Good luck.

Dean, when i first started my journey, i tried guessing at how much food was in a couple of ounces. i got tired of doing that so i invested in a food scale. i paid about 20 for the small one i have and i measure just about everything to make sure i know how much i am eating. I tell you that was the changing thing. I can log without having to worry if i logged enough or too much

Nearly 12 kg in less than 2 months! I think that's excellent progress. A steady down is much better than a jo-jo effect of ups and downs. Congratulations on the loss.

Reading people's journals, I kept coming across statements where people stalling and gaining despite sticking to their low calorie plans. This worried me. Some people were having good results with intermittent fasting, so I decided to do more research. I watched Dr. Jason Fung's six part series on YouTube, and read his 15 blog chapters on fasting. I am convinced that he is correct and I am going all in.

DeanDon, firstly you've established a great trendline and as long as you maintain this on a monthly basis going forward you will be fine. For me and many others, logging exactly what we input everyday really makes a positive difference in our ability to monitor and control our actual input...like Navymom, I also found that weighing and measuring my portions until I had a good handle on portion size has really helped calibrate my calorie and macro input. Good things to know when looking to fine tune our diet when weight loss slows. It is a bit of work but well worth it in my opinion...good luck, you are doing great!!

When you want it to come off fast, it's discouraging to lose slowly. But you're going in the right direction. If you keep it up, you'll have some weeks where you have bigger losses!

Weight training slows down overall weight loss so dont be disappointed since weight alone is not a true reflection of your progress.
