I know what you mean. Atkins works, but it's not cheap to eat protien and veggies!

I really know what you mean on the $$ thang. When $ gets low around here(like now) I buy canned string beans they are higher in carbs and not so bad in price. When you add some saved bacon drippings and or onions they really are good. Tuna and lettuce is another way i stretch a buck.
